But one of the most rewarding projects was that I architected and developed a novel interface for healthcare workers to detect and classify areas of concern, powered by AI, specifically for breast cancer but adaptable to many applications.
Success Amid Challenges
It was challenging as I had a designer who had no medical experience himself, so he kept trying to hide away details for a cleaner look. I carefully balanced the duties of it being a sales demo: the architecture needed to be open and flexible to be re-usable for other tasks, such as in the future it needed to be able to be used for skin cancer detection or detection of diabetic retinopathy, or other AI based detection needs.
